Actor Aamir Khan is not very common in appearing as cameo in films. Earlier he did a guest appearance in Raj Kumar Shantoshi’s Damini, in a song sequence with actress Meenakshi Sheshadri. Since then he never appeared as cameo. He even turned down director Farah Khan’s request to appear in a song in Om Shanti Om. But now he seems to break this myth and it’s none for his wife Kiran Khan. Kiran Khan is presently busy with her first directorial debut Dhobi Ghaat, under her own production house Cinema 73. Dhobi Ghaat is a documentary film with a lot of drama in it. Kiran herself fabricated the story line and the script as well. She approached Aamir a few months back to do a role in her film. But perfectionist Aamir had his own principles. He told his beloved wife that he would do the role only if he had found the script good enough.

Soon after this, he went to LA for the promotion of his first directed film Taare Zameen Par, which is an official entry of Oscars this year. Aamir told his wife that he would definitely think over her offer only after he return from LA to Mumbai. As he promised, the duo discussed over the script and Aamir has agreed to appear only as a cameo in Dhobi Ghaat. Aamir will be seeing sharing the screen with the lead actor of the film Prateik Babbar. After all, what a better gift a wife can expect in her birthday? Well done Aamir, you are not only a good actor but a good husband too.
