Madhur cuts a gay scene |
|
It seems that director Mdhur Bhandarkar is tired of controversies. After facing couple of controversies regarding his latest flick Fashion, Madhur refused to face one single issue with Fashion. First it’s the rumour of the resemblance between the character of Kangana Ranaut with that of the ‘girl interrupted’ had disturbed Madhur much. Secondly Madhur was reportedly unhappy with Censor Board’s rating Fashion as A rather than U/A. Censors had set the logic that Madhur had shown a love-making scene and a drug taking scene which would be unsuitable for minor cinegoers. Madhur Bhandarkar is such a film maker who portrays the slices of life through his films. Be it his, Page 3, or Corporate, or Chadni Bar, or Traffic signal, all these are realistic films based on the real characters around us. Thus all the time, he has to face controversies for capturing real pictures of society in celluloid. Madhur never compromises with his cinemas. He always does what he wants. But this time he seems to be little worried to put a controversial scene in Fashion. It’s a gay love making scene. Madhur is not new in handling gay love making scenes. Earlier in his Page 3, he also brought down a gay relationship between an aspiring model and a make up guy. In Fashion, the kissing scene is shot between actors Samir Soni and Anil Kumar. But the scene was cut off at the last minute before the release of Fashion. Hmmmm, it must be such a juicy fussy scene that Madhur Bhandarkar has decided to drop it up. Well, if some one wants to see the film along with the gay kissing scene intact, a good news is there. The director has planned to include it in the DVD of the film. What a good business strategy, Madhur!!. Must admit that he is not only an intelligent film maker but also an intelligent businessman.
