Karan does not get permission to shoot at London

Unlike Dharma Production films, Karan Johar’s forthcoming venture is about terrorist and to utter it more specifically it’s about London bombing of 2005. But Karan does not get permission to shoot in an underground tube station in London. The British government has not allowed Karan for security reasons. For that reason Karan has to shift his shooting from London to Philadelphia. Philadelphia authorities has not only given Karan permission to shoot but also provided train for shooting.

Another film maker, Jagmohan Mundra, whose film ‘Shoot On Sight’ is also based on the same subject, had a tough time to get the permission from the British authorities, even though he had got allowed when the UK Film Council interfered. Karan, who had shot ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ in London, is naturally very upset as he himself pointed London as one of his favorite shooting destination. Even several Bollywood films derived their names from London like ‘London Dreams’ and ‘Namastey London’.

This unnamed project of Dharma Production will be directed by debutant director Rensil D’ Silva and it stars Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi and Om Puri.
