Film industry was already suffering from economic recession and to make the situation worse there was the terrorist attack on 26th November in Mumbai. After 26/11/2008 every film has a disastrous fate in the box office, as the theatre halls and multiplexes are almost empty.

Will the much awaited and the much hyped Yashraj Films production, ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ meet with the same destiny? Perhaps no, the film has created so much hype that there is already demand for 1,200 prints, which is a record. The spokesperson of Yashraj Films comments, “‘RNBDJ’ will have the widest ever overseas release for any Hindi film, with simultaneous release in USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, all over the Middle East, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, Mauritius, Tanzania, Nigeria, Fiji Islands as well as all major European countries including Holland, Germany, France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Austria and Switzerland.”

‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ is a love story of middle aged common man who has no idea of fashion and who gets married with a young girl and how he transforms himself to win the heart of his lady love is the essence of the film. This film is introducing Anushka Sharma as the leading lady. ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ is all set to hit the theatres on the coming Friday.
