There exists a difference between the application of comedy in the classics and those in the modern age or in the realm of films. It has been found by and large that by and large the populace of every country prefer to witness the comedies and take pleasure. One prime reason being that the general population wants to live in a peaceful mode and therefore prefers to se the glimpses of those happy endings through the films. This has been one of the prime reasons behind the general appreciation of the romantic comedies form the second half of the 21 st century, when the concept of film in its real form came to the view of the common people. It is to be noted that the notion of the romantic comedy has evolved but in a slow manner into a more alarming antagonist to all of the other film genres or different theories that are present in the entertainment world of the modern times. Despite the fact that the romantic comedy is a genus on its own self, which does not downplay the fact that there are many subsets, some successful, some not, in this category. Romantic comedies have been a hit among many studios and the people at large, and that is for the most part because of their capability to be produced at relatively low costs, a peculiarity that have been loved by the media moguls at best. The greatest evidence of this is when their comedy tends to produce0 a good weekend at the box office. Another reason that many executives love the idea of the romantic comedy is that the movies do not have to have all that successful of a box office reign to bring in a well-sized profit. Now who can forget the romantic comedies, which have attained the benchmark of classics like the "Roman Holiday" or "Gone With The Wind"? the films that were made in the late 30's and the first 40's still have major appeals to us and even to the audiences of the present and younger generation!.
