After Deepika Padukone, who had her dream break in Farah Khan’s second film, ‘Om Shanti Om’, another Bangalore girl, Anushka Sharma has got her biggest break. Apart from the Bangalore connection, there are two more similarities between these two heroines. Both of them have debuted opposite of Shahrukh Khan. And both of them came from modeling industry. After ‘Om Shanti Om’ got clicked in the box office, Deepika has never looked back. Now all are busy speculating if new heroine has got that potentiality or not.

Anushka had got her biggest break in fashion world in the year of 2007 when she appeared for Wendell Rodericks show as the showstopper. Fashion guru Bidappa, who also happens to be the mentor of Anushka Sharma is very hopeful about her and says, “Anushka showed her zeal in learning things fast. She started walking the ramp perfectly just after a few days of guidance. She was agile and had a perfect body language. She was a good learner and worked hard to reach the top. It did not surprise me when she got such a good opportunity in Bollywood.” He believes that she can be recognized as unique in a crowd of thousands, not only for her look but also for her well-behaved nature. He adds that she has a great urge for learning new things.

Aditya Chopra, who has come to direction after seven long years has auditioned more than 100 girls for the leading lady of ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ but selected model Anushka Sharma, who has got some training on Bharatnatyam. This definitely helps her to get this role as her role in this film is that of a dancer.
