It seems that actor Abhay Deol is following the footsteps of his seniors, Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Akshay Kumar and that too in an unconventionally early phase of his career in comparison with the aforementioned stars. The stars, mentioned above, were already tagged as superstars in Bollywood when they had started off their production houses. Abhay Deol is such an actor who always remains unconventional in terms of choosing films. His films like Socha Na Tha, Ahista Ahista, Honeymoon Travels PVT LTD, Ek Chalis Ki Last Local, Manorama- Six Feet Under, and Meridian deal with unusual stories. His latest film, Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! is also smelling unconventional.

Now the actor is ready to launch himself as a producer. He is starting his own production house, ‘Forbidden Films’. Under this banner, ‘Junction’ will be the first film, which will be directed by debutant director Atul Sabrawal. Abhay, who is presently busy with the premiere of his film Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! in Goa confirms the news and adds that the film will be released next year. Speaking about his production house, he says, “I have decided to branch out to other medium of film making. I am not giving up acting. But, will not be facing the camera for films which I produce.”

When the media asked him about the unusual name of his production level, he commented, “In my career I have worked in films with unusual scripts by first-time directors. Not many Bollywood actors would want to do such films. Hence I chose the name (Forbidden Films).”

For the time being, we all are looking at Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!, which has been released this week.
