International driving licence

With the cause of the enhancement of the need to move from one country to another or to simply get engaged in the foreign tours, by and large the importance and even the necessity of keeping international driving permits are extending in the four corners of the earth. It has been learnt that at several countries they are regarded as equivalent to valid passports and should be presented whenever there is the necessity. But however, the basic rules and regulations differ from one country to another depending on the respective norms and even the respective country's political infrastructure at large.

In a country for example Thailand, there exists a good network of well-maintained roads and highways between all main centers or important cities. The road signages that are seen at every check point and even at many trivial points also strictly follows the international convention and is written in both Thai and English. Traffic drives in Thailand on the left hand side and those persons can be drivers who attain at least 18 and hold a full, valid driving licence of Thailand or an international driving permit. But even though if any one is in the possession of a national driving licence from his own country the very individual shall be permitted for its competent utilization for up to two months. Even to hire a car, renters have to be at least 25 years old, even if there happens to be a valid international driving permit.. Wearing of seat belts is compulsory and drunk-driving laws apply; all insurance is invalid if drivers exceed the legal alcohol limit.
