The Divorce & Family Law are usually related together when it comes to the parents separating and getting the rights for their children. The custody of the children is a problem with many of the parents who get divorced. The divorce or the dissolution of marriage is the end of a marriage. This separation in the legal terms is always done before the death of either spouse. The divorce procedure is very different from the annulment procedure. The annulment procedure is used for marriages where it is stated that the marriage is void. The effects of the marriage are also noted in such situations. There are other considerations in divorce which do not exist otherwise like the spousal support, the custody of the kids, the support for the child and also the distribution of the property. The grounds of the divorce here vary and the reasons for the same also vary. Family laws are very closely associated with the laws of divorce as the family is an essential part of the entire proceedings. The family law is defined as the area of the law which takes care of the family related issues like the relations of the parents and their children and similar options. The family laws are not restricted or limited to the nature of the marriage and the civil unions of the parents. The issues which come during the common marriage problems like the abuse of the spouse, issues of legitimacy and adoption, surrogacy, abduction of the children and other kinds of child abuse. The total process of the termination of the relationship of the spouses, their separation methods like divorce or annulment, the different kinds of property settlements are taken care of by the divorce proceedings. In the U.S the child custody and visiting the child and the child support awards are also included in the same. But all these laws about the family are closely related to the entire divorce proceedings and may also serve as precedent during the same. The major part of the separation of the parents, their property matters and other similar kinds of problems are all taken care of by the divorce proceedings. The divorce rates have become much higher over the past few years. The custody of the kids and the property are the most common part of the divorce proceedings which is not mutually agreed upon.
