Basic information on Civil Rights

The words Civil rights come from two different kinds of terms that have different meanings but are related to give the people one of the most important rights. When the words are used in civil rights in the civil law jurisdictions this is a right that can be exercised under the civil law. The civil rights here includes the aspects like the right to contract. For example in the civil law jurisdictions the law suits that exist between the companies or private parties for matters like the breach of contracts are referred to as the infringement of a civil right. The different countries have their different sets of civil rights. For example, in China the word contract is used to describe the establishments, modifications and the terminations of the civil rights and also the obligation of the footing of two equal subjects.

The use of the word civil rights in the common law jurisdiction is used for distinguishing the human rights or the natural rights of the people. The civil rights are given in the nations and differ from the boundaries of the nations. The natural rights or the human rights are the rights with which the people are born but the civil rights are the ones which are given to the individuals. There have been various arguments about integrating the civil rights with the human rights. Many philosophers had fought in the past about including the rights like the right to lives, liberty and property as a civil right. These philosophers also argue that the state should grant them the same and also protect these rights in the concern of the social contracts. There have been other arguments where the people acquire the rights from god or another deity and they have existed from the time before the governments were formed.

The laws which guarantee the civil rights of the individuals may be written or stated; they may also be derived from the older customs or implied. The U.S government and many of the other European countries have the civil rights written down. There are various kinds of civil rights which we use in our regular lives without even being aware of it. The rights to get redress if injured by another person, the right to privacy, the rights to peaceful protests, the right to fair investigation, the rights to personal freedom, the rights of movement, and many other similar rights are all a part of the civil rights.
