Innate Nature of Man

"Man is by nature a political animal." – Aristotle. This definition has been in the sway for centuries, according to which, by an innate nature the best task that a man can confer to the society is his political vision. On the contrary if we render even a glance to the basic tenets of Marxism, in this very philosophy politics has been defined as a discipline that procures or preserves the class interest. Whatever it is, it is true that the relation of politics and individual is identical to that of water and an aquatic plant. However, in spite of that through ages it has been found that the propensity of politicians has been to undermine the existing political system, whether monarchy, capitalism or socialism, and to bag maximum benefits. Here is the question, is there any wrong with the ideology? Well, it can be said that the demerit of the ideology is hardly true, since none in any age do adhere to the ideological traits, and are used to conceal the plunder under a cloak.

Other than this there are also other reasons for which there has been a noteworthy degradation in the morality of the political scenario. The foremost of these is the illimitable aspiration and also avaritia for more power and position. The politicians tend to forget that their positions are in no way indispensable and the offices cannot be in their eternal dominance. This aspect happens to be a great reason of downfall of most of today's politicians. They just forget to remember that politics is about public office and the politician is a public servant. The constituent voted for you to serve them. Whether you like it or not, you are a servant of the people who elected you to be their representative. Besides the saga of corruption is one of the primary disgraces for most of today's politicians. Kickbacks, pork spending, and even nepotism (in some cases) are just a few negative things that plague today's politician.
