KARNATAK POLITICS |

KARANATAK POLITICS Present Karnatak political chaos is nothing but a repeat of general tendency that regional parties try to betray national parties in a power-share agreement when first half of governance-period is enjoyed by a Chief Minister from the regional ally. Dirty political games of politicians to grab power-filled chairs of governance should be snatched by giving them a higher status of becoming king-makers! Only non-members having not contested elections for last say one year should be made Ministers so that MPs/MLAs may serve as real watchdogs in service of their voters and constituencies, and to have a close watch on such appointed ministers rather than themselves lobbying for ministerial posts! Rather since being an MP or MLA in itself a full-time job, no MP or MLA should retain any type of post even in their society by considering every post as ‘Office of profit’. Prime Minister/Chief Ministers should be elected by secret and compulsory vote of members of the Lower House through EVMs on nominations signed by at least one-third members. Such an elected PM/CM may be removed by same process but with compulsion of naming alternate leader in the same motion. Posted by subhashmadhu on Monday Oct 01 reply Comments |
