U-TURN ON RAMSETU UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi should be complimented for her wise and instant instructions to those in Union government to file supplementary affidavit on Ramsetu in the Apex Court , thereby removing unholy and ugly remarks about existence of Lord Ram and Ramayana in earlier filed affidavit of Archaeological Survey of India. But at the same time, persons responsible for hurting religious sentiments of large number of Hindus worldwide through filing the controversial affidavit should be punished by stringent departmental action including suspension. However Union law Minister while accepting responsibility for the episode should have used cautious words. It was not according to dignity of a Union Minister to use words based on cast and religion when HR Bharadwaj sought apology by saying that He himself was a Hindu that too Brahmin.
