Mumbai Indians target game against Kings XI Punjab to return to winning ways

Mumbai, May 2 ANI: Mumbai Indians have trained their guns on struggling Kings XI Punjab to return to winning ways in the Indian Premier League after their morale-shattering seven-wicket loss to Rajasthan Royals. Mumbai Indians, led by India's iconic cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, is the strong favourites for the title. But Shane Warne-inspired Royals mauled them two days ago due to the batting flop show. But the hosts would fancy their chances against Punjab, who were struggling to keep pace with the winning ways. "I think they have got some depth in their battling line up as well, - people like Dinesh Karthik coming further down the order. He hasn't got many runs though. And they have got David Hussey who plays down the order as well. "So there are plenty of guys, we will come up with ideas for all of them, but if you get wickets upfront it does put the team under pressure particularly if the middle order has had not of much hit," said Shaun Pollock, mentor of 'Mumbai Indians' MI. On the other hand, the success graph of the Punjab outfit has meandered up and down. They have a 50 per cent success rate and their loss against Kolkata Knights Riders KKR was dampener. "It will be a new game and different conditions, so both teams are looking to go out there and try to implement their game plan as best they can. I think team that is most consistent over the whole game will probably come out wining," said Jason Gillespie, bowling coach of 'Kings XI Punjab'. MI were overtaken by KKR at the top of table on the basis of net run rate. ANI
