Japan nuke crisis evacuees to begin home visits from May

Tokyo, Apr 26 ANI: Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan has said people evacuated from a 20-kilometer radius of the crippled the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, would be allowed to briefly visit their homes from May. "Since we are dealing with more than 26,000 households, we cannot allow the visits all at once," the Kyodo News quoted Kan, as saying. "It will take a considerable amount of time," he added.fficials said the visits would be made based on government guidelines. These include allowing evacuees to stay in the zone for up to five hours, including two hours in their homes, and permitting only one representative per household, excluding people aged under 15 and the elderly.
