WHAT IS INDO-US 123-AGREEMENT? Indo-US 123-agreement is making headlines in media even causing threat to Manmohansingh government at the centre with left-parties threatening withdrawal of outside support to UPA government. But people do not know exactly what the agreement is, and why left parties are opposing the treaty. At times, governments ( Union and state) and their departments issue newspaper-advertisements highlighting admirable features, points of objection and their clarification to make public aware of controversial matters. Union government should issue similar press-advertisements on the treaty because even opposing Parliamentarians do not know why they are opposing the treaty!
