Library Cubicle – Best Provision to Study |
|
Are you fond of visiting any local or state library in your region? I do have and happens to be a frequent visitor in the libraries. To be very candid I have memberships of five libraries since I love to live within books. But I must confess that the libraries of nowadays are quite different from that of the past. While in the past the traditional feature of any library used to be old, heavy wooden tables shared by many readers, nowadays library cubicles are much common and act as the independent study rooms for individuals. Well, it should be mentioned that they are specially meant for the researchers or serious readers spending more time in reference work, but often are also used by the common readers. Again in colleges and universities, library cubicles are meant for the graduate students along with the faculty members. If you also happen to be one of them and engaged in any research work are eligible to use the library cubicles. These types of library cubicles remain filled with shelves for books. The books and journals in cubicles are available for references and consultations but in no way can be borrowed, in most cases. There are in general two forms of cubicle shelves, with or without doors. If you are a researcher and are engaged in any complicated project, in that case you can be given a locked cubicle. However, with the passing of years these are being changed also and are getting equipped with computers, DVD, and VHS players. There is also the large availability of Internet that can be also utilized when necessary. Now, if in your college library there is no such cubicle, plead to the concerned authority for its introduction since it is one of the finest ways to study in a calm environment. Now whether they will be for individual or group studies depends on the requirement. Posted by subhasis on Tuesday Apr 29 reply Comments |
