Imogen Thomas furious over 'blackmailing charges'
London, May 17 ANI: Imogen Thomas was furious after the love rat Premier League player, gagging her from talking about their affair, accused her of blackmail. She protested that her reputation had been 'trashed' by suggestions that she tried to blackmail the footballer for 100,000 pounds. Thomas, 28, reacted with anger after a court upheld the gagging order preventing the naming of the married star with whom she says she had an affair. The former 'Big Brother' contestant said she was stunned by the accusations put forward on behalf of the player, described as a 'family man'. "Yet again, my name and my reputation are being trashed while the man I had a relationship with is able to hide," the Daily Mail quoted her as saying. She believes that she has been 'thrown to the lions', while the multi-millionaire footballer was able to pay lawyers to keep his name out of the scandal. The evidence has previously been kept secret from the media and the public, and Miss Thomas said that she was not given a chance to defend herself against the serious allegation. "What's more, I can't even defend myself because I have been gagged. Where's the fairness in that What about my reputation" she furiously added. ANI
