US requests access to Bin Laden's wives to investigate his support system |

Washington, 10th May ANI: US National Security Advisor Thomas E. Donilon has requested Pakistan to allow American investigative agencies to interview Osama Bin Laden's three wives for possible information about the other AL- Qaeda leaders and their modus operandi. "We have asked for access to three wives who are in custody, as well as additional materials that they took from Bin Ladens compound" New York Times quoted Donilon as saying. Pakistan is yet to respond to Washington's request. "We have had difficulty with Pakistan, but we've also had to work very closely with Pakistan in our counter terrorism efforts", Donilon said. The debate is raging within the American administration over how hard to press Pakistan for answers and whether to make public, any evidence the United States possesses. It has also revived the question of whether it is time to dispense with, or radically amend the US aid to Pakistan for counter terrorism efforts.
