A requisite standard

It has been perceived in all the human civilizations from time immemorial to this very day that there have always been a special position for the segment of art education. The royal patronage thus rendered to it in almost every age, though by different clans in respective countries has thus advanced the cause of human endeavor and brilliance to a substantial level. However in the contemporary age specially since the onslaught of the saga of globalization the various art programs, that include the art appreciation, drama, theater and music, have been suffering across the international arena for a great number of years, first being devoid of any such substantial production in the global aspect and secondly as the school officials prefer to concentrate on the basics of learning. In addition, with the initiation of programs, such as No Child Left Behind or the concept of universal literacy, specially in the third world countries, more focus has been placed on basic learning skills, which in turn is destined to exclude the arts from the basic curriculum.

So what does it mean? This definitely means that any extra funding is funneled into these basic learning programs in order to gratify the state and federal-set standards. Arts education, by and large is one of the requisite standards that should be met by educational institutions within the framework of the state apparatus, but unfortunately the respective States are found with the minimal or do not impose penalties on schools that do not met these particular standards.
