NAT75National/Environment/Tourism10 tourists rescued in Himachal, 250 strandedManali, Sep 22 IANS Ten people, including two Japanese, were rescued Monday by the Indian Air Force IAF from a snow-bound region in Himachal Pradesh but officials said over 250 people were still stranded.The area, Sarchu, is located on the 475-km Manali-Leh highway. "Ten tourists were airlifted by an IAF chopper and taken to Keylong, the district headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti," Deputy Commissioner C. Palrasu told IANS.He said that more than 200 people were still stranded at various locations. Nearly 50 people were in a similar state on the Manali-Kaza road, about 90 km from Manali."The chopper could not drop eatables and blankets due to inclement weather," Palrasu said.Meanwhile, S.K.
