'Sexy' ex-Citibank senior relations manager's arrest grabs attention in Indonesia

Kuala Lumpur, May 29 ANI: The arrest of a glamorous woman who worked for Citibank Indonesia as senior relations manager has drawn all the attention of the country's press and Internet sites. Inong Malinda alias Malinda Dee, 48, who handled high-net worth clients for the bank, was arrested for allegedly embezzling 17 billion rupiah from her clients while working at the bank, reports Star Online. The case has drawn much publicity in Indonesia as much for the allegations as for Malinda's looks and private life. For weeks, the attention of the Indonesian press and Internet sites were riveted on the bank executive who is a mother of three and whose husband, her second, is a 22-year-old model and small-time actor by the name of Andhika Gumilang. Sexy pictures of Malinda were splashed across cyberspace, newspapers, magazines and tabloids. TV stations even managed to find and broadcast a rare footage of Malinda modelling kebaya on the catwalk at the Jakarta Four Seasons' Hotel last year during a book launch by Indonesian fashion designer Andre Frankie. According to Citibank, they filed a police report against Malinda on March 14 this year and she resigned from the bank on March 17. It is planning to file a civil suit against Malinda to recover the alleged embezzled money. "We don't have a date yet," said Ditta Amahorseya, Country Corporate Affairs head, Citi Indonesia. ANI
