London, Mar 29ANI: Retiring Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar wished he had bowed out of football earlier. Instead of ending his career on the high note he craved, Van der Sar was left to reflect on the mistakes in his team's 3-1 Champions League final defeat by Barcelona on Saturday. "I played one game too many I think, it is not nice to lose of course. They had the better chances and we made one or two mistakes and they punish you," The Sun quoted Van der Sar, as saying.
