New Delhi, May 29ANI: Reacting to former Pakistan Foreign Secretary Shaharyar Khan's admission that lower-level rogue elements in the Inter-Services Intelligence ISI may be involved in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, the Bharatiya Janata Party BJP on Sunday said that the situation is 'very worrying'. Talking to mediapersons in New Delhi, BJP spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman said: "We have been suspicious that both state actors and non state actors in Pakistan are active in spreading what could be believed as terror related offences in India." "Although these are allegations that most of us are making. Now, we have more and more people from Pakistan saying that in direst or indirect way," she added. Sitharaman also urged the Central government to seek access to militants, who are part of the perpetrators of 26/11, being tried in US courts. Our only demand is that the government of India makes sure that they are able to get access to every witness. They must also make sure that the perpetrators of 26/11 are investigated, brought to book and justice being done," Sitharaman said. Lashkar-e-Taiba's Pakistani-American operative David Coleman Headley has testified in a Chicago court that the ISI and its operatives like Major Iqbal and Hafiz Saeed had helped him lay the groundwork for the Mumbai attacks. Headley is currently testifying against co-accused Tahawwur Rana to avoid the death penalty. Rana, a Chicago-based businessman who has also been accused of providing cover for Headley, has pleaded innocent, with his lawyers claiming that he has been framed.
