Air France flight's chaotic 3.5 mins before crash into Atlantic revealed |

Washington, May 28 ANI: Passengers on an Air France flight behaved in a chaotic manner for three and a half minutes before their flight crashed into the Atlantic after losing its speed, killing all 228 on board, while the main pilot was resting, the first evidence from black boxes has found. All 228 people on board, including crew, were killed after the Airbus crashed into the Atlantic at a speed of 180 feet a second in the worst disaster in Air France's history. The Telegraph quoted the report as saying that while a junior pilot battled to safeguard the Paris bound F447 flight from Rio de Janeiro from losing control in a tropical storm, the second pilot tried to rouse the captain to deal with the crisis. According to the flight recorder data, 32-year-old Pierre-C dric Bonin, the younger of the two pilots, angled the jet's nose higher, a position the aircraft maintained until meeting its fate. This act angered the aviation experts who questioned why the pilot maintained that position when the plane was in a stall, as it is required to put the nose down to recover speed and regain control. Reports also suggested that 37-year-old David Robert, the second pilot, called Captain Marc Dubois to handle the situation after autopilot got suddenly cut off four hours after take-off, but he allowed his assistants to resolve the problem. Air France yesterday praised the "three skilled pilots", saying they "demonstrated a totally professional attitude and were committed to carrying out their task to the very end." The fresh data was revealed after the black boxes were recovered from 12,800 feet beneath the waves, and returned to Paris this month, two years after the jet met with the accident on June 1, 2009.
