Rabid Brit Muslims who attacked RE teacher for 'mocking Islam by teaching Muslim girls' jailed

London, May 27 ANI: Four British Muslims who had attacked a male teacher because he was 'mocking Islam' by teaching religion to Muslim girls, have been jailed for being 'a danger due to their extreme religious beliefs'. The attack, which took place on July 12, 2010, left Cary Smith, 38, with short and long -term memory loss, no sense of smell and in a state of depression. The attackers also slashed his face that had led him to suffering a brain haemorrhage, a fractured skull and a broken jaw. Smith was head of religious studies at the Central Foundation School for Girls in Bow, East London. Sentencing the gang at Snaresbrook Crown Court to at least 19 years of imprisonment, Judge John Hand told them: "If you think that people around you in society present an insult or threat to God then you will not hesitate in attacking again," the Daily Mail reports. Following the attack, the accused-Simon Alam, 19, Azad Hussein, 27, of Bethnal Green, Sheikh Rashid, 27, of Shadwell and Akmol Hussain, 26, of Wapping, had managed to flee the scene in a car. However, their crime was revealed after the MI5 planted a covert recording device in Hussain's car because they were considered a threat to national security, wherein one of the accused was heard saying: "This is the dog we want to hit, to strike, to kill." Hussain was heard plotting the attack outside Central Foundation Girls' School in Bow, East London, saying: "He's mocking Islam and he's putting doubts in people's minds. How can somebody take a job to teach Islam when they're not even a Muslim themselves" Just moments before the gang struck at 8am on July 12 last year, Hussain said: 'Does everyone remember the drill One time, bang, bang, bang, bang."
