BJP says Karnataka Governor Bharadwaj is a 'Congress man'

Bangalore, May 22ANI: Bharatiya Janata Party BJP leader M. Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday said that the statements made by Karnataka Governor Hansraj Bhardwaj are totally incompetent and have proved himself as a Congress agent. Interacting with the media after a news conference in Bangalore, Naidu said: "The Governor's statements, comments, actions and his loose comments from time to time are clear indication that he is action as per his mission. He declared that he is a Congress man and he is proud to be a Congress man." He also said that Bhardwaj came with a mission to destabilize the functioning of the Karnataka government. Karnataka's simmering row has been boiling over since the past few weeks, with no end in sight to the political tussle between the state-ruling BJP and the state opposition over Bhardwaj's recent report recommending President's rule in the state. Showing the hold-up nature of the Cental government, Naidu said that further delay over the Central government' s permission would affect the interest of the state. "Last four, five, six days. The state government is not allowed to function by the Governor and the inordinate delay is also affecting the interest of the state and people of Karnataka. Any further delay will be a negation of people's mandate, those against the spirit of federal structure, we will not tolerate this," he said. Naidu also said that such partisan attitude of the Central government and the Karnataka Governor will not be tolerated and inaction of the government within 24 hours will lead to a nation wide agitation by the BJP. "If the Centre does not act within the coming 24 hours, the Central party of the BJP will be compelled to launch a nationwide agitation both against the Central government as well as the governor," he said.
