Northwest Airlines offers Fare Sales

Northwest Airlines in the recent days has announced of the spring and summer fare sales for travel to/from North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana. It has also been informed that the saga of entire spring travel must be completed by June 12, 2008 with the summer travel valid from June 13, 2008 to August 28, 2008.

It is to be note that the Northwest Airlines Corporation happens to be one of the most eminent airlines in the United States of America and has its headquarters in Eagan, Minnesota, near Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in the US. Apart from this the Northwest has three major hubs in the United States. They include Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, and Memphis International Airport. The airline is also engaged in the operation of flights from a small hub in Asia at Narita International Airport near Tokyo. It is also found to operate transatlantic flights in cooperation with partner KLM from Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. On the other hand, it maintains focus city operations at Indianapolis International Airport, Honolulu International Airport, and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
Again, as far as the regional flights of the Northwest Airlines is concerned, they are operated under the name Northwest Airlink by Mesaba Airlines, Pinnacle Airlines, and Compass Airlines. It is worthwhile to mention that the Northwest Airlines is at present a minority owner of Midwest Airlines, holding a 40% stake in the company. Its frequent flyer program is called WorldPerks.

In accordance with the decision, as has been learnt, the very tickets at Northwest's seasonal sales prices are subject to availability and may be purchased until April 25, 2008. However, the seats happen to be limited and it is futile to expect the same sales fare on all flights. Other than this, it is also better to note, the sales of the tickets can show a discrepancy depending upon travel days, with peak travel days of Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday running slightly more than travel on the off-peak days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday.
