It I however true, that devoid of the backing of a major label it qt time become very difficult for independent artists to obtain radio play time and that is the normal standard, up till now. Podcasting is a revolutionary new medium which has inaugurated new distribution channels for the sake of independent artists. Podcasting is the process of distributing audio files using the RSS format and has become very popular with the younger generations. But with the introduction of the Web based technology or even the Internet new ideas are coming up for the artists. It is with the effective use of technology, independent artists are at present having a unique opportunity on hand, using technology they can significantly expand the exposure of their music.
